2016 “Quest For The Crest” Sailfish Series “Operation Sailfish”

It’s that time of the year again. “Operation Sailfish”. December 7-11. The season opener and the first leg of the “Quest For The Crest” 4 tournament series by Bluewater Movements. This is our favorite sailfish tournament to fish and our favorite series. It’s our stomping grounds. We’re home. We didn’t have a chance to prove ourselves last year as we had mechanical issues that prevented us from being competitive. We were operating with one motor. Couldn’t have come at a worse time but that’s part of the game.

It’s an exciting time to watch the other teams arrive in their slips at the marina and get settled in the week of the tournament. These teams are the best of the best… the elite… and we welcome the competition and comradery. An estimated $700,000 in prize money is up for grabs along with the “Operation Sailfish” dog tags. Come on down to Sailfish Marina and walk the docks when the boats return. It’s always a fun time!

Day 1: The tournament opens on Dec 7th with the kick-off party from 6-10pm. This is when we see old friends, eat, drink and have a good old time.

Day 2: “Take A Hero Fishing Day”. This is an opportunity for the PBFCo. to show our gratitude to our veterans by taking them fishing. Bluewater Movements has coordinated this charity event with “Operation Homefront”. We are happy to be participating in this event this year as we were not able to do so last year. You can click the link and check out the Operation Homefront website for more info about what they do. You can also click Take A hero Fishing to find specific info on this event. If you know of a vet that may be interested please pass this info along.
